Does oil weight have any effect on VTEC engagement?

It's really scary what happens when the oil is low though. I took an onramp really hard and the oil shifted causing my comp and vtec to fight for control of the engine.

yup but really quickly like a rev limiter and the engine light came on. Anytime I went near the RPM range for the VTEC it would go crazy until I got the oil changed.

Rep Power: 0 Well let us 7th Gen peeps know if you move down to San Anton in the summer. I think that the Mobil 1 that I used last time was 5-30, this time I'll either try that or 5-40, i dunno about 5-20, that is what the car came with.
