Header Torque Specs
I can't seem to find the torque specs for installing a header. I need the specs for the 5 bolts to the head and the 2 to the down pipe. Does anyone have this information available?
I just put in a DC Sports 4-1 header into an 01 civic and the specs for the torque were 22 ft/lb
The down pipe spring bolts should be firm since the bolt is steel.
But make sure you dont tighting one side all the way down.
Tighten each side a little at a time to make sure it doesnt leak.
And dont forget about the seals. His factory seals were in good condition. The bad part is that one of his header mounts snapped. They all call for the same Ft/lb but for some reason it just snapped, its an easy fix though.
