Where to place jack stand?
Ok, when jacking up your car the manual says to place the jack under the reinforced part of the chasis. This reinforced part is only about 2 inches long. So, with the car jacked up where do i place the jack stand?
On any solid part of the frame.....I mean just use your judgement. Don't place it on some thin sheet metal and expect it to be supported. The tow hooks under the front bumper my be ok.

If you can stick your head under the side of the car you will notice that they are four little parts that stick out a tiny bit more than the rest of the underchassis. You could stick it under there or like above mentioned, anywhere along the whole thing.

I'd invest in a good floor jack. Its safer and makes it alot easier to jack up your car the proper way. Those scissor jacks are only good for changing tires and can be dangerous(and costly) if not used correctly.

Get a floor jack and use the jackpoint right under the front of the car in the middle. There's even a big arrow pointing to it if you duck your head under there and look. Then just pop the jackstands under the reinforced points on the sides. That's the proper way to do it.
