Question ignition system conversion

ive got an '01 civic ex and first of all before i go any further, if anyone could explain what kind of ignition system we have that would be great because i am in the dark; anyways i am trying to figure out what is up with our ignition system setup! i recently looked on the web for new and upgraded ignition parts, only to find out that our cars dont even have distributors (or at least i could not see one!) so onto the point: i used to have an eg civic hatch and i was wondering if there is any way that i could change out the ignition system on my 01 for the one on my eg (with new parts of course!) if anyone knows please help thanx

We have a DIS individual coil system. It's more efficient than having a distributor, other than the fact that you can't directly control the timing, but you can do that with a GReddy Emanage. Which would be a hell of a lot cheaper than trying to convert the system, and it would still perform better. Not to mention that converting isn't really possible because there aren't any parts that can work with the car to my knowledge, and the spark is provided through the ECU.

There is another option to the direct coil problem

www.ignitionsolutions.com has replacement direct coils that boost the electric charge given to the spark plug. They are a bit pricey at around $480 for a set of 4.

Here is a link to the application for the civic that gives dyno read out and other info

Those ign solutions dont do much I hear. If you want ignition upgrades get plugs, optima battery, grounds, and maybe an emanage.
