Well I still don't have the head. I'll let you know. Hopefully next weekend... that and I'm still waiting on the spacer for the pulley.

And someone was saying we need new head gaskets and stuff. Have you gotten anything like that? I also need to find belts for the pulley. I guess there should be some auto stores nearby.

I think you should really think about getting a new gasket...I'm not exactly sure, but I think it can't be reused when pulled off. You might want to check into that

hey man, you may not want to out the cash out now for a new gasket, but you might run into the chance of regretting that you didnt later, when the reused one decides to go, and does a number on your engine. safer than sorry...

Is that the right part for our cars, though? All it says is for civic, and I doubt the engines are the same.

There are pulley pics in the pulley thread somewhere. We're still waiting for spacers. Still waiting on the head. So is that nippon gasket the only thing we need?

What about fluids? And someone mentioned having to replace the head bolts?

What about other stuff like head coolant? Just want to make sure we get everything. I think someone should make a list of parts needed.

How do you donate points? If it's possible to donate points, I will do the following:

I will donate 200 points to the first member who posts a valid dyno comparison of the DH pnp head versus a stock D17 head on a normally aspirated D17, 7th Gen car.

I will donate 100 points to the first member who posts a valid dyno comparison of the DH 74mm throttle body & intake manifold vs the stock throttle body & intake manifold on a normally aspirated D17, 7th Gen car.

I will donate 100 points to the first member who posts a valid dyno comparison of the DH 74mm dual groove pulley on a normally aspirated D17, 7th Gen car. If you want to test the single groove pulley, you must test the stock car with the A/C & P/S belt off and on so we can determine where the power increase came from.

I've only got 434 points to give so somebody do these 3 tests and clean me out! Anybody else want to throw in some points?

IMPORTANT: By valid dyno I mean:
* Back to back runs on the same dyno overlayed.
* No more than 7 days between the two runs.
* Obvious, but I have to say it: same car required for both tests.
* The only item changed was the part being tested. nothing else at all can be changed.
* The car must be run in the same gear for both tests.
* SAE correction factors must be used.

These requirements are really easy and any dyno shop worth it's salt would do these anyway so it's not a burden.

Must adhere to all the listed conditions! including normally aspirated!

Anyone else?

Dude noone cares about your points. If anyone here is going to a dyno shop, it will be to get their car tuned. It's expensive just to do that.

But I will be posting my dyno results after installing the head and pulley, JUST to prove you wrong about the gains. If you start with an attitude, you're just gonna get removed from this thread like last time. It's already known that stock civics have 100-110whp stock.
