04 gauges.....
my friend just took out his 01 integra GS gauge cluster and replaced the main bulbs, size 174. now they are blue, and i wanna change my gauge lights too. yeah, i know i should just leave em, but i really want all red gauges and cant affford an RSX/SI cluster swap, and i dont even know if those will fit the connectors for my vic.
what kind of bulbs light up the main gauge faces (mainly the numbers)? LED's? light string? thanks

Here's a DIY, this should be the one you talkin about... http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...hreadid=128559 I'm gonna do my center console only, I already had indiglo gauges... but red would look sweeetttttt!
IMO the cluster with LED changed, the light is not distributed evenly... I would stick to indiglo gauges...
You could probably use a bulb for even light distribution, but needs to fabricate wiring and what not, the bad news is, I don't think anybody has ever done it... which is the good newsss!

Well, in the older gens they use small bulbs. The newer 03-04 gauges look like there are LEDs for the numbers. That's the only way to get them that white.
That's my DIY he's talking about. Still a work in progress for the older clusters.
