Well I got a DX civic, and I was wondering if I can get the Vtec system installed in my car. I wanted to ask this because my friend bought a 98 hatch civic dx, and the dealer put on Vtec on his car. Thank you for any replies.

you would have to get an ex head; i think that would do it, but that would probably me more expensive than you're willing to do.

a k series swap into a 6th gen is just as legal as a b series swap.

Its already been done and is becoming a more popular swap...

ok......u wanna know the real answer? Don't waste your time, for the amount of money it would cost to do the vtec swap it isn't worth it at all. You are better off saving your money up for boost and for as much as it kills me to say this.....n2o. vtec on sohc is basically a joke on a stock motor.
