I got some new racing seats today and i started to disasemble my interior..when i came across the passenger seat i started to unbolt the brackets so i can remove the seat..there were two wires attached to the bottom of the seat connected to the end clip thinggy of the seatbelt..i disconected the wires and its all ok..now i get to the center console where the shifter is..since i had the car off i couldn remove the console..so i turned my car on to put it in neutral ( AUTOMATIC 01 EX BTW )so i can have enough space to remove the console out....i noticed the SRS light staid on..so i say " ok may be is because the to wire thinggys r diconected"..connected the wires again disconected the battery for a possible reset...SRS staid on WTF u guys think this can be reseted at honda????? what the **** r those 2 wires there 4??ill post pics give me a min

It's the side air bag! On our honda's once you remove the clip your SRS light will come on. You have to take it to honda to reset it, unless you can find another way. In the future, if anyone removes an Airbag clip for mods and then reconnects them, make sure your battery is disconnected so the computer does not register the removal of it. If it's there when you disconnect the battery and it's there when you reconnect the battery your SRS light will be off. But in your case, you are permanetly removing the seats, Honda is the only one that can address that issue. Not sure if it works though, because if they reset it, I think your computer is still gonna look for side air bags.

no i dont have side airbags but i read the owners manual and the front seatbelts ARE part of the SRS system..what i disconected was a sensor that when theres an accident that sensor will pic up the speed of ur body moving forward or what ever at the point of impact and it also decides if the airbags have to be deployed...or someshit like that..i have to bring it back to honda to reset it..i hope they dont rip me a new @sshole..lol ill keep u guys posted

Anywho if u wanna replace it u might as well just wait till u do it, then get the srs light reset, or else u will be going back again.
