When I bought my car I got it 2nd hand. The 1st driver had been a smoker and burned in a couple holes in the door panel fabric. I want to either replace this with aluminum, or something !! I need ideas... or DIY, or SOMETHING !!!!!!

Wow, is that your car in the pic you posted? Just wondering
I got my car new and I'm a smoker.. and I bet have a little tiny burn hole.. well, it's not a hole but more of a burn mark (??) in the fabric on the door panel. I'd replace it, take it to an upholstery place and have them redo it for you, or do what I'm going to do this spring: Fiberglass some new doorpanels..

Don't do it DIY. Our cars aren't like previous gens. The doors don't come apart that easily. I say take it to a professional and get it done. I did mine and it is hard and doesn't look all that great.

I am telling you again, NOT to do it DIY. Go ahead and try but you will see that that part of the door panel does not pop off like older civics. So you can wrap the fabric around. You can only shove it into the crevice that is there.

NONONONO... wasn't that hard.....and cheap too. took me 1/2 hr to take off the door pan. cost me $20 to buy the materals. i even have enough materal left over and i made myself a red shift boot.....
