That's really not bad. If you wanted, you could've also used red vinyl. I did that to my 7thgen tails to remove the gay reverse light, and now it looks pretty clean. Here's where I got my vinyl though... http://members.***.net/rsxtc338/taillight.htm

You could always paint your tails the body color, but otherwise that's true.

Theres a pic in my members ride gallery of my smoked tails. I didnt just use the crap out of a can that give a matty, flat look. I used a black dye, and a clear coat, and mixed it together, and then applied it with a high pressure spay gun. It gave a really nice transparent, glossy finish. I got nothing but complements from people about them.

Nobottle: I would have done that except that with the silver car the less glossy look seems to blend better. With a black car like yours, the gloss is perfect.
Thanks Clown.
My buddy who actually did the painting had a silver WRX. He had black headlights, black rims, tinted windows, and all his lenses painted like mine...it was awsome looking. One of the best WRX's ive seen. The glossy look just gives a more factory look i think.

I used the same kind of paint. As you may have seen in the link provided. For the cost of that paint in a 3oz can you can get a 10oz can for the same price.
