I believe a p1259 is a VTEC error code (if memory serves me correctly). The 4k rev limiter comes into play with a VTEC malfunction like that...don't know why. Hope this help...
yes i knwo its a vtec code but what is causing it thast what i need to knwo becasue i the pressure at full throtal doing like 100 is only 80psi so does anyone know what could cause this????????????????????
Boilermaker can confirm this, but the oil pressure should be around 80 psi at higher rpms, and at idle it should be around 30.
WHO installed the gauge? If they screwed up the stock oil pressure sender then that would trigger the VTEC cut. VTEC relies on oil pressure and if the ECU is not seeing any pressure then it will disable VTEC and enable the RPM cutoff. I would bet that the stock oil pressure sensor has a problem associated with the installation of the aftermarket gauge's sender....

No... you need a 15/16th's wrench, just unscrew, and rescrew. Use Teflon thread paste when you put it back in. But if there's a pressure sender for an autometer unit or something, whoever installed it may have moved it. but it goes in the block right above the filter.
Your oil pressure on a fully warmed up engine, should not break 100 PSI. Idle should be about 12, Full Blast should be around 90-95.

Worn oil pump, partial plugged oil filter?, or worn bearings maybe as a start. If your only problem is its only 80psi? I dont see it as a problem. if you were to say your bouncing around 5psi at idle that would be a problem.
but see the thing is its kicking on that coad then the oil pressure goes to like 100psi then when i earase it with the obdII scanner it drops to liek 60 then at liek 6000 rpms its jsut about 80 and i know it shoudl be higher then that and thats only with the oil temp at liek 140 if that
