Has anyone paid Honda to do valve clearancing?

Yeah, I searched, all I found was the DIY.
Has anyone actually paid the $82 to have Honda check the valve clearances?

Do they provide a spec sheet as to what they adjusted and how much they adjusted it?
Did it actually improve your MPG or provide some noticable effect of any kind?

My car is nearing 30K, and I'm trying to figure out if its worth it and/or necessary (I took care of the rest of the 30K service myself). They keep saying it improves your MPG but I'm still getting 36+ on average, and thats with I and E which are supposed to waste gas.
I don't want opinions... I just want to know who has had it done, and was it worth it?
That is all.... Thank you.

Going to honda is a waist of time unless it is for a part or warranty work. They are too expensive. I wouldnt be suprised if they start charging people to look at cars.

I did the valve clearance few months ago ... 75000km...I thought it would kill the sound you mention above, but it didn't...

If its making alot of valve chatter or noise, then you might want to consider having them adjusted. But if its fine and runs great with good gas mileage like you mention I'd just leave it alone.

Are you talking about how they check your valves in the 40k check-up? I got the 40k done. It really doesnt need it, unless you hear noices or feel like something is wrong in the engine. I really didnt see any improved gas milage.
