well i noticed when i went to the track (moroso) a while back, when i was shifting into 3rd gear( mind u i was hauling some *** and on my way to a15.9 ) it popped out. i knew i went into gear but i figured i shifted too fast for it. it just did this.....

vrrroooooooooooooooom (1st) shift
vroooooooooooooooooooooooooooom (2nd) shift
vroom!! vrooom! vroom! (bouncing off limiter) obviously cuz at shift point lol

i imdiately said what the **** is up w this car!! and slammed it in 5th and coasted down the rest of the track

i figured a way to stop this. instead of shifting so damn fast, just shift fast but not too fast. i dont know if u understand, but think about it. i havent found any more probs w the shifting thats about it, but the car is a beast.

if any of u have any ideas or cant tell me whats up, i would really appreciate it. thanks

I do that sometimes! I am shifting to quick then sometimes i only have the shifter half in when I release the clutch and POP. <---Hope you understand that. If it's not giving you anymore problems, thats probably what happened. What were you track times?

no everything is stock and i do have the warranty but get this lol

"hi mr. warranty man, how are you? i was wondering why my shifter doesnt wanna go in at 7 grand on a hard shift... can u explain that to me?" not only will he laugh in my face and void the warranty, he probably wont even fix it if i paid for the work lol any more help?

by the way my track times were all 18's (5 runs)

1st run- excitement cause excessive tire spin -missed 3rd (problem)
2nd run- bogged -missed 3rd
3rd run- semi-bogged -missed 3rd (gf)
4th run- semi-bogged -missed 3rd (gf)
5th run- good launch, missed 3rd, got it in and ran best of 18.0 (gf)

---gf= girlfriend--- yes she got the best time lol

keep in mind that i didnt find out how to fix this till after i left the park. i stopped on the side of the road and tested and tested till i figured out a way to fix the shift problem. i ran it w my friends gtech comp and ran a 15.9 so i know its there i just figured out the problem at the wrong place. i shouldve tried it at the track

but anyway has this shift problem happened to someone else?

my friend had this problem on his civic also. it would pop out of 3rd gear. you should PM him: Piccoloboi02

i have the same problem in my Spec-V im going hit 2nd shift into 3rd and vrrrrroooooooooooooooooooooommmmmmm it pops out of 3rd into 1st of all gears and i have to jam on the clutch and shift bc the tach just goes up and up and almost redlines

no my problem isnt that it goes back into 1st, the problem is that only when im racing (obviously) when i slam it into 3rd, its like as if i was in neutral. and i KNOW that i put it in 3rd im positive!! but what i figured i have to should a lil bit slower and get my foot completely off the clutch before i even stomp on the gas again. but its still fast nonetheless lol i just wish that the 3rd gear wasnt all weird

oo when u like shift and its like vrooooooom and goes nowhere yea thats just getting back on the gas before the clutch is fully let out

I heard those 1/4 mile calculators weren't that efficient. Hope you are not trying to reach 15.9's with a civic unless you usuin nitrous. Also testing on the street and testing at the track are different due to conditions. You have a lot more traction on the street then at the track. What ya runnin in there btw?
