what does it matter K20 is far more superior to the D17, weight really won't be an issue if you do the swap.

Not very much. The K20 is a pretty compact package and its all aluminum. I'd be willing to bet its about 100 lbs difference or less.
And it matters because of weight distribution... it puts more weight on the front of the car. The weight distribution in an RSX is about 70/30, the Civic is about 61/39.

i would prefre having even more weight in the front ... then you can break away the back end a little easier ... good fun

sick of people saying D17 is so inferior.. this is the first d seiries designed after the b series... bottom end all forged... what more do you want? open upo the head flow some and build motor.. see what happens.. BIG potential in these motors.. best SOHC ever made... by honda

The k20a3 weighs about 500 lbs or so. Not too sure about the d17 though

If you want the back to slide, you want MORE weight in the back. Putting more in the front just makes understeer worse. Putting it in the back will cause more of a weight shift, so the back will step out.

to all the people who took offense with the little "D17 PRIDE" comments stfu ricers.
if a dx weighs 2450 without the swap i just wanted to know what it would weigh after. my question was answered though.. thank you
