Fuel Filter Replacement...?
Hey ya'll...I was wondering when should we change our fuel filters.. Meaning...What are the symptoms for an ok/bad fuel filter.....how do I know when it's the proper time to change the fuel filter.?
imp:
imp: I think your right streetglower...I've heard that our filter is in the gas tank as well....I've also heard that we may have 2 fuel filters, but I'm not sure about that either. I'm gonna call up my friend that used to be a Honda master mechanic that has his own performance shop and ask him when we should change them out. I have 60,000 miles on my car so i think it would be time for me to do it.
I talked to a guy at Honda and he told me that the fuel filter never have to be change and i dont really believe this guy but he told me that it cost like $60 something just for a filter and im like wtf dats messed up
The last time I had the car up in the air putting on my new exhaust i checked everything over real quick. I believe it is right behind the gas tank. Yes there is a filter in the gas tank called a boot that connects onto the fuel pump. This should not need changed unless you get a tank full of very bad gas. Change your fuel filter about once a year or an average of 12-15 thousand miles. I have to get the car back on the lift sometime this week. So I will get back to you then.
Also the price on a filter is $15-$20 .
