coupe front speakers

hey i dont know if this is a repost but my front speakers are kinda gay and i had to bust it apart to get my aftermarket speaker in the black housing part....?
does anyone know what i am talking about?????
anyways so i put it in and the speakers break off the black plastic thing...
i think i will build my own out of wood that way i can make them wider and the magnet will fit in my door...

so my question is
1. does anyone have this same problem and
2. can i just order some bolt on spacers and do i have to make my own???

Yes we all have the same problem. The black housing comes out. It is the area behind that, that needs modification.
Yes, most likely you will need some sort of baffle to space. I don't have one and i don't have any problems. You can also dremel out the area so that the speaker will fit.

Should be in the ICE forum next time...

heya

just go to www.crutchfield.com, they have the mounting kits that make it hella easy and ur speakers still fit behind the door panels. Just have to drill 3 holes for each, took 10mins each.
