Signs of bad gas?

All day today it has been raining really hard, and I've been going through puddle after puddle, not fast, but getting everything pretty wet. Anyway I was low on gas and pumped about 5 bucks worth of gas in the middle of all this raining, and about 1 hour later my car starts driving like crap!

It can't idle worth a damn, it doesn't stall, but it stays at like 700rpm then will drop to like 100 and bog for a few seconds, then jump back up, and when I get on it, it just does NOT feel like I have the power I usually have. It feels like it's not firing on all 4 cylinders. Also when driving at highway speeds, it jerks a little bit, and just will not stay steady, can bad gas, or perhaps water in the gas cause this?

Possibly. But my car feels different alot even with the same gas. Sometimes I'll start it up and it will really jump off the line and want to go. Another start and it feels really sluggish and the engine makes noises like it's struggling. It has different moods.

This is why I never buy crap gas. Had the same thing happen to my harley. It took months to get the little bit of water out of the bottom of the tank. There are products out there that will help dissolve your water back into the gas mix. Never used them, but if it continues after a few tanks, I'd try them. If that don't work, drain the tank and change your fuel filter.

What octane did you put in? I usually put in the 89 octane and I have never had a problem with the car yet.

well, just for the record, if all 4 cylinders arent firing, your car will sound like a V8...very very loud and very shakey. So i doubt its anything to do with the ignition system. unless its a computer issue.

Well, if everyone leaves the room everytime you walk in, then that may be a sign that you have bad gas. I'm sorry, that was just too wide open for me to pass up! Geh!

check the coil pack's maybe? I don't know but I know on cars which do have cap and rotor, even the smallest hairline crack in a distributor cap will make your car run like shiat, maybe check the coil pack for any cracks? If any of the ignition system even gets moisture in it, i'll run like that

Did you try a fuel treatment? You can get it a walmart or other places, or you can ask honda to do a fuel treatment or something. They have a mixture that cleans out the intake ports and all through out the engine. It costs 90 or so dollars. Just throwing ideas at you.
