a bad quality hood usually do not add uv coat, that will cause fade in the hood usually after a few months, or a year. even a high quality cf hood will usually fade after 2-4 years, i believe adding wax also somewhat protects it

That explains why it fading. Well, good luck on getting it to stop fading. Try putting a nice thick coat of wax on it. It will stop the fading, atleast for a while.
