There are many posts on this. The bumper has to come off or partway off. Then the grill is just held on by screws and clips. Altezza grill is an exact bolton. Same as stock.

sspem2 has a spectacular aura aboutsspem2 has a spectacular aura about
1. pop hood.
2. theres two clips holdin the front bumper take them off.
3. theres a screw in each wheel well take them off.
4. then if you have a stock bumper theres about 3-4 clips on the bottom. you must get on your knees to see. take them off.
5. take bumper off.
6. theres 4 clips holdin the grill to the bumper and 2 lil screws. take them off.
7. put on altezza grill with the hardware that the stock grill was holding.
8 do everything i said in reverse putting the bumper back on.

Nothing will happen, but you may get some rain coming in there. Better just to get it.

Whenever it rains or I wash the car, there's always water on my cover. You don't really want water to get on electrical components under the hood.
