door handles?
wow you did all that work on your car and you can't figure out how to take your door panel off?? lol just playin.
anyways...
take your door panel off via first few steps in the "Removing Door Panel and Adding New Speakers" DIY. http://www.7thgencivic.com/modules.p...howpage&pid=51 (The pictures in that DIY are skipbarber's pictures; but the DIY instructions itself are for non-DX models)
Useful diagram:

this will clear up step #3:
the interior door handle should now be hanging loosely because it's connected to a thin metal rod (17). Twist the plastic clip (29) so that the rod can be pulled out of the interior door handle and lay the handle down somewhere
After that, remove the screws on that metal brace (16) and MAKE SURE THE OUTER DOOR HANDLE DOES NOT DROP.
Disconnect any harnesses.
Remove that clip (14 - DO NOT LOSE IT; it keeps that keylock in place)
Pull out the keylock (27).
Then the outer door handle should come off.
Lots of small pieces you should watch out for, do not lose anything.
I watched the mechanics who were repair my car when I brought my car back in because, that clip (14) popped off and the keylock kept moving deep into the handle when I tried to insert the key.
