Intake came apart

I was planning to Simple Green my engine bay today and get it all nice and clean, and I pop the hood and find that my Injen RD Intake had popped apart in the middle (not broken, just came apart).. The longest it could have been like this is about a week since I last opened the hood.. Is there any damage that could have possibly happened to my engine while the intake was like this?

how wide is the gap? if its not much, you neednt worry, i guess to feel better you should just change your oil. if its a big gap...im not sure what you should do, maybe have it checked out, pay close attention to the engine the next couple of days, take note of any changes.

if anything bad happened, you wouldve noticed it by now.

ahh kinda like when the condom rips..... you shouldnt worry to much though ive had friends take theres off at the track and run 6 or 7 times and not even think about it, the air filter is pretty much just blocking big crap from going in the engine (eg. a rock or a leaf) but for the most part the engine will destroy anything little and a rock you will be able to notice by the piston shooting out the hood, j/k i wouldnt worry just make sure you get those boots on your intake nice and tight this time and like he said take close note and probably change your oil.
