Help!!!!!
I got my door handles and need to put them on. Does anyone know how to do this and can give me instructions on how 2 do so? My friend tried to do it when i was at work and he was having trouble and didn't want to break anything on my car. We plan on trying again hopefully as soon as one of these great people helps me with this! Thanks to anyone who helps. PEACE!

Door handles as in the latch that you pull to open the door? You just pry off the plastic cover, unscrew two screws, and it comes right out.

Interior door handles or exterior door handles? If it's interior, then you do what gearbox said. Just take off the plastic cover and unscrew the two little black screws. If it's the exterior, then you'll have to do a little more than that. Take the interior door panel off. Then take off the white seal around the hole that leads to the exterior door handle. Then look for a way to disassemble everything. Unbolt anything that can be unbolted. Then take out all of the parts. Never done it personally, but I hope my general guideline will get you started. What did you get? Different color door handles?

I've removed both off 6th and 7thgens. The interior handle is easy enough, so I'm assuming you need to get to the outer door handles. It just takes a little maneuvering. Make sure your windows are up and then remove the door panel. Pull back the white plastic sheet around the little holes in the door. There will be a couple of 10mm bolts on the inside of the door (brass coloured) that you will have to remove. I remember one being a real bizznotchtress to get to even with my tiny ratchet so I ended up using a box wrench. Also you will have to remove the metal rod from the handle - this rod is what actually pulls the latch to open the door. After that, it's just a matter of pulling a little from the outside. I know this sounds a little general but frankly I don't feel like crackin my doors open today. If you need to use any force at all to remove the door handle, then you have missed a bolt. I used the new door handle as a reference as to where bolts and screws were located.
On a side note, if anyone has any SSM rear door handles (the ones without keyholes, ahem) for sale, please pm me, as I am working on a little project...
