I have a cold air intake and im attempting to make it more of a ram air intake whats the best way to go ahead and fabricate something to do this, or is there something to buy that is specifically for this, im looking to come out through the grill or lower bumper by where the fog lights would be if i had them

If you can bend the pipe or find a fitting to have it come out the grill, or where the foglights would normally sit, you can cut a hole in the bumper cover(pop out the fake grill for fog lights) and get a filter with the hole in the top and you have yourself a ram air setup. It's just a bitch to fabricate...I like the front mount intake setup, someone put a boost guage on it and got 1 pound at 60mph...but your also suckin up everything under the sun...

So i guess my question at this point is, is it worth butchering my front end to do it?

There is somebody on this site with that exact intake, in fact that picture on that ebay auction looks like his actual car.

it's my engine bay and also PaCiFiKbAllA, he has an SRI and then he change it to Racer Design Intake, so he knows the difference (sound, performance, etc)

Just save your loot for the turbo...its your best bet, if you wasted your time changing to the ram air, you wouldn't really see that much power..not enough to make it worth the effort, and why waste money on a new intake which will give you MAYBE 1hp over what you have...
Turbo is the way to go...
