Question Aem V2

Ok, I just wanted to try and settle this once and for all. I've been admiring the AEM V2 CAI for awhile now and was seriously thinking about dropping one into my car. But I've recently heard some pretty mixed reviews about it not gaining as much for our cars as say the normal CAI that AEM makes. So I guess I'm basically asking for anyone who has a V2 or has read about someone who has one to post their thoughts about which intake I'd be better off getting. I'm looking for one that will give me the greatest HP and torque gains (as I'm sure we all are). So what does everyone think?

from what i've heard, the v2 is all hype, and it gives just about the same gains as the v1... i was also looking to put one into my car, but that thing is kinda pricey... i decided to go with the Weapon-R Dragon short ram intake... $165 vs. $250+, but thas jes me...

the V2 for our car, is NOT A CAI.

its a short ram intake.

not enough room for the bigger wacky pipes.

Well hell, if it's not a CAI then why even bother? I live in San Diego so I never really have to worry about water being sucked up into my engine. So I guess I should just go with the V1 then? Unless anyone has any better suggestions of course.

Ah well, I too would like to go turbo in the future but I'd like to drop an entirely new engine in there before I do, which won't be anytime in the near future, so I figured I might as well squeeze out as much power as I can with what I have at the moment.
