AEM intake

After installing the AEM intake, there was not a hose clamp for the acutall filter, do i need one? For now i bought one and put it on, will this cause problems?

you should just get one from hardware store. pretty cheap

You need a clamp, and tighten it good. My filter fell off and I drove over it accidentally. D'oh!

i just installed my aem short intake and it makes awhistleing noise at certian speeds and when i turn it off...............help

You got screwed! I'd call the people you bought it from and complain...prolly won't do much, but hey, maybe the next guy won't get screwed!

Hose clamps that come witht the kit are the same that you can buy at Home Depot...you're good to go!

Mine does the same thing, and it's totally normal. Don't worry, you won't blow up or anything! lol

yea i noticed that too... when the gas pedal is so far pressed the intake whistles, its kinda kool to me... and yea i went to home depot and spent the whole 3$ for clamps.

bringing a older thread back to life!

if you want call up AEM's 800 # and tell them that you are missing an item and that you want it and give them the part # and they will give it to you. Same thing happened to me but i was missing a tube because i have CAI and I called them up and gave them the part # and they mailed it to me with no problems
