dont know if its necessary or not. most of the trim pieces in the car should hold the carpet in. if you WERE to use glue, i'd use a regular contact cement. either the one in the can of the aerosol one

I have taken my car completely apart. The carpet was not glued to the floor. The rear seat, front seat and the door sills mainly hold it in place. I went from having a tan floor to a navy blue one. Not bad for $10 worth of dye and the carpet does not bleed.

That sounds good. Did you just dye the carpet that came from the factory or did you replace it. What I'm trying to figure out is whether or not the factory carpet is cut in such a way as to mold to the contours of the car.

trunkliner also works really well, another 7th gen member here covered his entire floor in trunkliner, just layed it in, and it looks great.

no glue, either

the carpet is cut so its contoured the shape of the car.

did u use SEM vinyl Dye to dye the carpet? i have tons of the dye becuase i dyed all my interior panels. i wasnt sure if it was ok to do the carpet but u say it doesnt bleed or rubb off? sounds good, maybe i will do it one day.
