Rep Power: 0 you have to buy an altezza grill from ebay or any other place that sells them. you can try to do a DIY, but ive never seen anyone else try it.
heres how to take it off:
1. read the DIY on how to take the front bumper off (its in the *how to clear out headlights DIY*)
2. look at the back of the bumper and take off 2 screws on both sides of the upper grill
3. under the upper grill you will find 4 plastic screws, unscrew those and pop the pins out.
4. the grill will just slide off (towards the front of the bumper)

Rep Power: 0 my 2 cents. this is an easy mod, just take your time. i would recommend painting the new grill BEFORE doing the bumper work, i just think it makes life easier. i did mine in the following order: primer, paint, bake (125F in my oven :-), paint, bake, sand, paint, bake, & clear coat. obviously i let the thing cool down after baking. it's a really easy mod, and i got the primer, paint, clear coat @ pep boys

Rep Power: 0 Just take it to a body shop and tell them what you want done. Get it professionally done so that the paint matches perfectly with the rest of the body. I paid $25 for them to do that, believe it or not.

Rep Power: 0 I was wondering, I've taken my grill I bought off of tornactive to 2 different shops, and both places say that they can't paint it because of the release agent left on the grill after its made. Because of the silicone or whatever that is sprayed into the mold, it stays on the grill after its finished. Both places told me that they can paint it, it will look good, but like 4 to 5 months later or possibly even sooner, if a rock hits the paint it will just crack, peel, or just fall off. Has anyone actually had their grill in longer than this without any problems? If so, how did you paint it or where did you get it done?

Rep Power: 0 i bought an rs grill from ebay, i have a 2002 coupe. now i see everyone says they dont fit right, and u have to remove the radiator cover.. ok.. i can deal. but the grill is black, and my car is black. no, there is a slight difference, but should i paint it?? i mean i dont think the grill is a "focus" point (i have projector head lights, so that's where the eyes go), but anyway, just wondering what u guys thought.

The shop that painted it said they just sanded it, primer, paint and clear coat.

As for painting the grill. You don't have to. You can check out YS' ride. He has the altezza grill and left it unpainted. Though it would look better if you get it painted, IMO.

Rep Power: 330 the grill will fit both, but the plastice piece over the grill, inside the engine bay (i.e. u cant see it from the outside) which is also knows as the radiator cover will not fit on the new grill if u have a coupe, so u have to get a sedan one or just keep it without a cover.
