Ok. Well I am getting ready to ask a lot of questions about my honda so please bear with me everyone. First off i have an 02 lx with auto trans. I know I know it s an auto but I drive the car every day and lots of trafic so I didn't wanna buy a 5 speed. My lx lacks a lot in the passing power department and i wanna make it faster. I did this same thing with my zx2 but had massive issues. I don't wanna have all types of problems with this car. but it needs more *****. I wanna add an air intake to it probably from aem. I've been told it's a pretty good intake for the car. I also wanna add headers, exhaust full catback, lowering springs with camber kit and maybe new pulleys. I don't have the cash to do an engine swap right at the moment either.

question#1 If I add an intake will I have problems with my heat working in the cold or winter time?
question #2 Will addding these or any aftermarket rims void my warranty?

question #3 What does everyone recommend product wise for those listed above. I'm looking for easy to install, good warranty, reliability and keeping the functionality of the car the same?
I am keeping the car very clean inside and out keeping a rather sleek look. nothing outrageous. thanks in advance for the info guys and girls

As for the intake, I would suggest looking into a K&N FIPK instead of an AEM one.

1: No. But if you really want gains like someone already said get the K&N intake. I have AEM cause its prettier. I dont like the K&Ns looks.

2: Depends. Some dealerships wont really care about an intake and exhaust, some do. Keep in mind that its easy to take off your bolt ons and replace them with stock parts if you need to take it in. Generally if the problem with your vehicle cant specifically be connected to the mod they cant say anything about it. Rims wont void your warranty, but Honda WILL NOT balance and rotate them.

3: Intake, I say AEM or Injen, Ive had both, but like AEM. If you get the cold air system get a bypass valve to prevent hydrolock. I would just get the short ram though. Header, get Kamikaze or HP, I have DC but its barely bigger than stock. Springs, get goldline.

If youre serious about performance youll need forced induction such as turbo or nitrous. Notice I didnt say supercharger, there isnt one for the 7thgen, nor will there be one.

Ohh, for exhaust the Tanabe system is said to have the best gains, and they say pulleys dont do anything for our cars at all

thanks 01. If I get the kamikaze header do i have to remove the cat when it is installed. i know you did on the zx2 plus the kamikaze sounded ridiculously loud. I kinda liked it. I was lookin at your members ride pics where did you get your gauge pillar from??

i dont know about the cat, i have an ex. im 90% sure from reading on the board that you do indeed have a cat that will be removed. i got the gauge pillar over a year ago from a guy that got it at the SEMA show. I think i was actually one of the first ones to get it. Im sure you can get them about anywhere now though, NOPI, AutoMeter, anywhere.

slowlx2k2 if you get header you will need to get a cat from an EX to keep your car legal. You also need to modify some wires for the sensors.

Yes, what homer said. Since you have a lx, the cat is on the header. To get a aftermarket header, you would need to get ex down pipe to connect the o2 sensor because the cat is on the down pipe for the ex. As of a gauge pillar; www.tornactive.com should have what you are looking for. Robs a great guy. I got my exhaust and header from him. You can also check out the group buy center on the site to get some good deals for our cars.
