*shrugs his shoulders. I just ran a new one to the battery for my constants. Then I just grounded it wherever with a switch so I could turn my lights off and on, on command. However. I don't know of anything that is grounded just when the car is off.
parking brake , when the lever is up it makes a complete curcit, so just set the p brake everytime u get out of the car
Take the center counsel out,, and it is the only wire u will see that goes to the p brake

check it out
I installed power windows in my doors a few weeks back. The evil genious SkipBarber walked me through the electricals. The wire I circled here is the constant 12v. I tapped into that, and now I can lower/raise my windows even with the engine off. BEWARE: I drained my battery dead because I kept playing around with my windows after I installed them
the other thinner wire I circled, I thought maybe could have been another power source, but we figured it may be for the Immobilizer system. Good luck!

by the way, the colours may not alway match on our cars. Skip's was black, but my 12v was white. You can tell it by finding the main hose with all the wires inside, and then looking for the green (or black) largest harness, and the 12v should be the thickest gauge wire in it.

i use the white/red stripe wire for my installs...its the ACC on wire
edit:
oh yeah...with your setup you want something on when the car is off..i think it would be easiest to use a relay...
www.12volt.com for more info
relays are really pretty nifty...you can do alot of things with them

i have a varad LED scanner... I used the wires on my head unit. I used the 12v constant wire, the black ground, and I used the red wire that only comes on with the igntion, when the car is off, it has no power so its grounded... It worked great...
the wire is the ignition(black/yellow) wire under the dash. It becomes grounded when the car is off and un-grounded when the car is on. So my LED's will turn on soon as the car is off and turn the LED's will turn off once the car is started..no switches needed
