V-AFC Vti on/off?

Quick ? for those with V-afc installed: At what rpm does it say the ECU is telling V-tec to come on/go off?

No, not what you've got it set to, what the ECU has it set to. I've got mine set at L/H 4500 and H/L 3800, but the other day I set it to monitor Vti and Vto, and Vti (when the ECU kicks in Vtec) was saying L/H 3200 and H/L 2800......I was pretty sure the ECU doesn't kick in Vtec until ~5600, so what's up with this?

S2KREY is on a distinguished road
if youve done the v-tec light it lights up around 2800-3000 i wonder this to...b/c when i full throttle from stop to go i hear the change in the valves opening up (the v-tec sound) from my exhaust (kinda that rattling sound)...i asume it means it starting to engage from minor v-tec to full v-tec somthing like that i dunno...

on a exhaust system from cat to muff. you'll hear it engae around 4000 thats at full throttle

It may have something to do with what gear you are in. I have heard that our ECU kicks vtec in a different RPMs depending on what gear you are in. In 3rd-5th gear (if you have a manual) it should kick in around 4500 but in 1st and 2nd it might kick in sooner. Have not verified this on my own though, or have ever been told 100% this is what happens. So try it out, see if the Vti changes depending on what gear you are in...
