k&n fipk II install
k&n fipk II install
For those of you who have the k&n fipk II and diy'd it, how hard was the install? What tools did you need and approx. how long did it take you? also, does it come with an instruction sheet? If not, is there a diy on it?
BTW, I am completely new to the import scene and my civic which i got 9 months ago is my first car, before that I never even popped open the hood of a car
but ever since I came upon this site I've done the paint trim diy, Mex's diy for cleared headlights, shaved my emblems, and installed the revo ss myself.
This will be my first engine mod and I'm stuck on whether or not I should do it myself or take it to a shop
so give me some feedback people! Thanks!

Really easy , Do you know how to read? Good then you can do this install just follow the directions that come with the FIPK and in no time youll have it completly installed and ready to go . just make shur you reset your ecu after the install so it can learn the air flow curve and the way you drive with the intake on

it's was my first diy ever and it took me 30mins. just take your time and be patient, don't force anything and remember it's like legos you can always reverse what you do and start over.
I sure wish my car was newer

It took me about 45 minutes, and there were little things the directions left out. Sometimes there would be 4 bolts holding something in where the directions said there would be two. If you're mechanically inclined at all, this shouldn't be a problem. Honestly, the hardest part of the whole install was getting that dang tubing around the headshield.

make sure you have some long extensions for your ratchet, cuz there's one screw holding down the stock stuff (the big box to the left--don't know what it's called
) that's REALLY hard to get off. after that's all off, it's pretty easy from there... Thread
