Hi
You have already posted three times on the forum.. stop posting!

Someone will reply soon enough. It does sound like a battery issue though.

Did you end up working out the problem?
Was it battery related?

Let us know!

Electrical problems are a real pain to deal with. We never experienced any with our Civic, but I had another car that was always giving me electrical trouble. First the dashboard lights would flicker, then the automatic window switch on the driver's side stopped working, and the really scary thing was when the windshield wipers would only work sporadically. No matter how many times I got the car fixed, another issue would pop up.

I hope you were able to get your Civic fixed.

Not battery sounds like alternator and circuit buzzback. Have a tech who knows the wiring check the flow on the wires with a voltage gauge. Then test the terminating points to see where their might be overvoltage and failure incidence that regenerates the programming from the circuit to the device.

is the clock run on the same power as the radio? my guess is it was re-wired at some point and is run off the red wire on the radio (this would be red on an aftermarket unit...) and if the yellow wire (again aftermarket) isn't hooked up securely, it will do that... i'm not positive how the clocks work on those cars, but the radio requires constant power for the memmory to be retained... and the red wire wich is the secondary power just switches the actual radio on and off... my guess is the clock is similar run off of the same 2 wires as the radio so if that constant wire isn't continuous to the battery, it will do that...

It may sound silly, but have you tried resetting the code?

Be SURE you have the radio code before trying this!
Unhook the negative battery terminal.
Wait for a while (one hour should do it - to decapacitate).
Rehook the battery.
Reset the code. The method is in your manual.
Reset your auto station selection choices.
Reset the auto up/down on windows if you have that feature.
(I will explain how to do this if you wish.)

This may take care of your problem, it may not.
Good luck.
