how bout that... 200 hp fwd... not to bash, because i'm a strong believer in "to each his own" but why waste the time and money to buy a car that will just wheel hop like crazy, and break **** as soon as you start working on the power train? besides, that car is probably close to maxed out on street/emissions legal power....

two words...motor mounts

urethane motor mounts help a lot but that doesn't change the fact that you will break axles, clutches, etc etc because a fwd car in design isn't meant to handle all that power... does it come w/ lsd? if not, you're just gonna be spinnin' one tire like crazy anyway... and that's close to a grand automaticly for anyone not able to do it themselves... basicly, i'm saying fwd cars will cost way too muchby the time you can actually call it fast... granted, an 06 si may be able to take me in a race, but thta's the top of the line (usdm) civic, and i have the base model impreza and it would still be a close race i think.and ok, maybe you hit 250 whp w/ that car... by the time you do that, w/ that money, i can hit 300 in mine... so what's the point???? hondas are supposed to be econo boxes... if you want a fast honda, get........ i dunno an nsx or soemthing.. besides, you will probably never hit 300+whpw/o forced induction or nitrous, wich is never a good idea on a n/a motor... (except nitrous, i will admit.) plus your compression is probably so high you almost have to use premium already, so forced induction is out of the question w/o a full rebuild.. and who wants to do that on a brand new car???

The lightweight of, I dunno, say the EK chassis with either an H22, B18 or K-series swap means our Hondas can eat you alive with about 70-80hp less than a BASE WRX. With a built motor and about 230-250hp, the EG/EK chassis can even take on a stock STi (once it finds traction). Stock WRX's and STi's are nothing compared to N/A built-Hondas. For that matter, neither are built Camaros/Mustangs.

Also, your low-compression boosted motor means that without being in the proper gear, your powerband is going to suck. You also suffer from turbo lag, which we obviously don't have. No turbo motor in current production responds as quickly as an N/A motor. Speaking of which, your lack of car knowledge in general is transparent:

WTH are you talking about? The best F/I motors are built upon the foundation of the best naturally aspirated motors. Yeah, it takes us a bit of effort in revving the hell out of the engine to make power, but 1) thanks to VTEC, we get better gas mileage when driven normally and 2) with the power stretched out across a longer RPM range than any other car, all or most of the engine's power isn't applied all at once. This is good for us, since it reduces the stress to the drivetrain--which by the way, Honda engineers designed on the Si to be VERY strong--under a lead-footed clutch drop and minimizes torque steer (it still happens though).

Subaru aftermarket parts cost way more than Honda's. And your also more likely to break an axle than we are. Axles break because of an enormous amount of stress being applied to the drivetrain either at once or repeatedly over time without. Have you seen our engine or drivetrain? If you haven't how can you comment on it? The Si's engine is probably the strongest Honda has available, which despite the K20z1 having Type-R internals, is why the K20z3 is found in the upcoming Type-R.

By the way, there are currently 300+ whp N/A Hondas terrorizing the streets. Skunk2 and Clutchmasters took a chance with the K-series and now Skunk2's RSX-S is the fastest all-motor Honda in the world. 9 seconds. Sure it costs some money to get there, but you tell me what's more impressive: Taking the cop-out method to making power, aka F/I, or a 9-second naturally aspirated car?

AND the 06 si comes standard with LSD. FWD is beast.
