ok I know squat about cars. I am trying to find cv joints but i don't know how many splins my cv's have. how do i find out?

Does anyone know what the heck a splin is?
I'm wondering this myself.. is it a type, or am I just dumb not knowing what it is?

Call autozone, Advanced, Pep Boy's, or Napa (any good store near yyou, and they'll @ least tell you what spline count shafts you need, if they are dirrerent. My guess is that if they are different, the spline count will be less, as wider, more coarse splines tend to be stromger than the thinner, fine spline shafts.
My proof is that I have a 69 Road Runner also, I have the 'regular' A33 4 speed trans, in which the tail shaft has a 23 spline spline count. Remember the HEMI? I also have a Hemi 4 speed 4 speed trans, it's tail shaft has a grand total of 18 splines. Good luck to you! Ric
