Rep Power: 0 trunk not sitting flush. may be bent
so yesterday morning i backed into my dad's truck. i fixed the dents in the bumper but now my trunk lid isn't sitting right. on both sides there is about 1/4 to a 1/2 inch gap. the trunk closes and latches still but you can tell that it's tighter than usual. so i was just curious if there's anything i can do to try and even out the trunk or if the lid is bent and i have to take it to the shop. i'm definitely hoping i can avoid the shop and do it myself. it rained earlier and water leaked in to my trunk through the gaps so i'm really trying to get it fixed asap

well the only thing thats adjustable are the rubber stoppers on the lid (they twist left/right) and the trunk latches which can move up/down a bit to make the trunk close tighter. but if you bent the actual lid, those adjustments may not help.
