How to take care of your civic
How to take care of your civic
Hey everyone!
Just bought an 02 EX last week. I was wondering what tips you guys have to take care of your civics, as I want mine to go past 200k miles!
I don't mean general take-car-of-your-car tips, change the oil, etc. I was thinking more civic-specific if you get the idea.
Thanks!!!

Re: How to take care of your civic
Civics will go past 200k no problem. My 02 has 156k on it and I've done nothing but normal maintanance. Just keep your oil clean, timing belt changed when it is supposed to be, etc. and you'll be good.
Is your car an auto or manual? How many miles?

take care of the automatic transmissions. they're picky, especially at high mileage.
Your timing belt is likely due soon as well. Do the water pump as well because timing belt is labour intensive and it is worth it to change the pump while it's taken apart rather than have it go later and have to do it all over again.
