Im new to civics HELP!
well i wanted to do thing little by little... such as intake, then headers, exhaust... but after that, i am stuck and dont know what would be next... maybe cam? eventually get turbo if its possible... but if i cant do much with that engine then maybe i should save up for a different engine.... I know this might be a dumb question but what are the meanings of all the different letters such as ek, jdm, terminology... im new to hondas..
Re: Im new to civics HELP!
I have a 92 civic hatch. I didn't want to spend a lot of money either so I did headers, intake, exhaust. Its a 1.5L with a 1.6L head and a v-tec ecu. Very inexpensive and you'll notice a difference. Like the other guy said, these cars are very limited. Fun cars tho!

For your 92 hatch i recommend on swapping the b18c1(gsr) in cause it wouldnt be to hard and wouldnt need much like the k series motors. The d15 only has bout 105 hp or something like that and that doesnt count for the 15% drivetrain loss to the wheels, and the fact that the low liter its hard to make big gains. The b18c1 has 170 hp and 128 trq to the wheels it will be 144 whp and round 108 trq so easy to get up to 170 with bolt ons (bolt ons is headers, intake, exhaust). Then after that just grab a cheap turbo off ebay and slap it in there and then tune it. Run low psi at first since stock internals. Then after that you can upgeade your internals to run more boost.
The ef, eg, ek, ep, fa, fg, those are the chassis codes for the honda cars. Every car has there chassis code on them its on the vin # its the 4th number to the 7th #. JDM is japan domestic motors. N/A means natural aspiration which means you do not do an aspiration change which is turbo and supercharger. I/H/E means intake, header, exhaust.Always happy to help.
