Re: Drivers Side key won't turn
i have the same issue, unfortunately lube doesnt fix it. i think the whole locking mechanism/actuator needs to be replaced. i sprayed lube everywhere with the panel off and it didnt work. the key feels like its gonna bend if i use it. but the power lock works fine cause its not tied in with the door key locking rods.
Re: Drivers Side key won't turn
I have the exact same problem now. The problem is that tumblers, springs and cylinder have worn out. Since you have no power doors you depend on that lock a lot. You have two options. You can buy a new door lock cylinder that comes with a key and then swap your old cylinder with the new one. In this case you will have to use separate keys for the two doors. Another option (I am working on this now) is to remove your old cylinder from the door, disassemble it and identify your tumblers (they have numbers on them 3,4, etc). Next, buy the new cylinder and buy new tumblers as well. Install the tumblers in the right holes and you can still use your old key after-all. Here is a link that explains everything: http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2237857. I think the permanent solution for this problem is to install power locks with keyless entry to your car. I am planning to buy this kit: http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/...Code=W01C-740T. It comes with a basic alarm as well.
