Honda CR-Z

anybody else disappointed in this slow "sports hybrid". 122 hp 128 torque. 31city/36highway with the six speed. most of the civics on here get that and arent hybrids.

Re: Honda CR-Z

yeah that car is a joke, most ex civics here get 38-40 highway, the hx gets 45+ and most get around 25-35 in the city. doesnt the regular hybrid civic even get around 115 hp? i dont see how this is such a big improvement.

Re: Honda CR-Z

The weak motor and 2800 lb weight killed it for me. I'll still test drive one when they come out hoping that a k swap comes out. With out the batteries how much do you think it would weigh?

Re: Honda CR-Z

yea gearbox lol most civics on here get crazy gas mileage stock and we still get good gas mileage when we drive our cars hard but i think honda is going downhill toyota is killing them in the hybrid game.

but lordhelmet without ima and then a kswap idk how much weight you would save because kswap does weigh more than a 1.5 so idk if you would lose much weight if any at all but you would be really quick and it would definetly be worth it. or maybe a k20 with ima that would be crazy. hopefully some tuner thinks of that and tries it when this car comes out

but you can get a crx or any civic and do a kswap if you wanted and you would be a beast so this car is a joke. idk how honda thought honda fans would find that sporty. i get better gas mileage and im sure i could keep paces with the new crz when it comes out.

Re: Honda CR-Z

I'm reserving my opinion on gas mileage until the car comes out and people can give real world results. The new EPA system rapes 4 bangers compared to the previous system and yet I get the same gas mileage on my civic as predicted by the previous system. I wouldn't be surprised if the CRZ sees mileage into the 40s.

Re: Honda CR-Z

I believe My Si weights only 100 pounds more than the CR-Z... Maybe I should forget the CR-Z?.

Re: Honda CR-Z

there are much better alternatives already on the market if you want a hybrid. or wait a few more yrs and go all electric.
