Dash Removal

Recently I have acquired a partner inside my 07 Coupe. MY new friend has already ate through my backseat and part of my seatbelt and I need to get him out before he eats all my wires. Mouse traps don't work too well so I'm going over the top and removing almost everything to have a look around.
I removed the front/banckseats with no luck of finding him.

I now need to remove the glove-box cover and or the right top dash panel and I was wondering how do I do that. I think I see his little house right behind the glove-box so I really need that taken off.

Thanks!

Re: Dash Removal

glove box has those two side pieces that pop off and then it will rotate down completely. the dash is very complicated to remove tho.

Re: Dash Removal

have you tried those other mouse killing things? not regular trap, but there are some other devices that might work if you stuff it where you see poops. we just caught 7 mice in the last 2 days at our old rental house. put the traps where you think the mouse has been.

Re: Dash Removal

I'm like 25$ into this mouse.
Glue traps, peanutbutter, cold weather, I just bought 20 of those traps with steal snappers and I'm going to line the car with them.
Nothing will stop me from this mouse. If I can't get it I'll get one of those high-tech trap house things

Re: Dash Removal

FYI, a mouse will not be easy to find by taking your car apart, unless you take EVERYTHING out of the car.

I would get mouse paper (sticky sheets of paper) and place all over the floor of your car. Maybe let the car run with the heater in high so the mouse comes out of his hiding place and walks on the paper. It might take a few gallons of fuel and several hours of your car idling, but it might be worth it instead of gutting the car.

Good luck, mice are terrors with electronics and such.

Re: Dash Removal

I wasn't going to 'gut' it, just remove the obstacles so I could look around. It's hard to look around a coupe with all the seat when you're 6'2" LOL
I'm going to remove the glovebox because I think it's behind that. If it's too much trouble I'll have to take it to the dealership and let them mess with it for a huge price probably

Re: Dash Removal

Mice can fit through really small areas. We had one in our house, and I saw him run towards a heater vent and then crawl through it with no problem! Now we have a cat, and no more mice! haha
