installing bigger fuel injectors

So, yesterday i went to the junkyard and took 4 injectors from a 2.2 liter honda accord engine. My friend says since the little pin on the bottom of the injector from the accord is bigger than my current injector's pins it will give my car more horsepower. Is that true and will it work?

Re: installing bigger fuel injectors

You'll run rich if they'll even fit in your car, whatever that may be. Only reason to want to add more fuel to your A/F ratio is if you're boosted.

Re: installing bigger fuel injectors

Dudes wrong. If they fit into your injector plate, and the flowed better, you'd still get the same HP as your stock injectors. Your ECU will just end up pushing the same amount of fuel through your injectors no matter which ones you use to keep a good A/F ratio. The only reason to increase them is if your current injector duty is maxed out. Unless your running a car with a turbo or super charger its not going to do you any good upgrading your injectors because you dont need more fuel being dumper in your cylinders.

lol yeah no difference. your stock injectors are nowhere near maxed out, most of the time they can handle much more flow than the engine will ever need.
