Fabric Dye?
Fabric Dye?
I've been planning on getting new carpet in my 02, black to match the rest..
But I just read a DIY artical on here about using RIT dye to dye your factory carpet, looked good from his pics, so I'm going to do it tomorrow.
I was wondering if anyone knew how I would go about also dying the back seats and headliner?

Re: Fabric Dye?
well for the seats, ive seen covers that are perfectly made to fit in place of the stock fabric. needs professional install tho. they even have leather but its almost $500 for the set on ebay. for the floor, you can just buy the carpet from honda. i think they have a few different colors depending on the car model.
Re: Fabric Dye?
I DO NOT recommend the fabric paint... I got tan integra seats and used it to paint them black... they looked awesome but about a month in, the driver's seat already looked all faded and worn, you could see the tan in some spots... I still have them, they look ok, but the paint rubs off pretty easily... dying or just buying stuff the color you want are better bets... it won't turn your clothes black or anything like that though
