Left headlight fogging up!

My left aftermarket headlight is starting to fog up out of nowhere and will not go away. A friend told me to put it in the oven so the hole will seal up? im not sure now, i just saw my 3 bottom led's on the headlight start to lose power and are turning on and off. HELP!

Re: Left headlight fogging up!

the seal might be the issue however, some ebay brand headlights naturally do not meet oem specs. So you might get some fogging, a bulb will not fit, or a bulb/unit might just stop working all together.

Try the seals, you can find a DIY that might help under 'blackout headlights' DIY article.

Re: Left headlight fogging up!

my best friend bought some headlights off ebay a few years ago. when they arrived he couldn't wait to put them in and we put them in. A few days later he noticed them fogging up and got really pissed. we took them out and got some clear gasket sealer (p.s. that doesn't work). i suggest getting some clear kitchen caulk from home depot or hardware store. make sure the surface is completely clean and there is no moister in the headlights before working on it.

Re: Left headlight fogging up!

i used 3m windoweld on the outside of my lights. its sticky and stretchy and you just press it around the outer seams. dont put a ton on, just enough to cover the seal. the LEDs usually dont last long due to poor quality and wiring. you can always wire your own using better leds tho.
