VSS is bad vtec not working?

VSS is bad vtec not working?
my VSS is bad and my speedo works when it wants to, but anyway i was reading something bout it and it said when your vss is bad your vtec wont engage... does anyone know if this is true?

its possible. vtec will not engage if the car is not moving faster than 15mph. and if the ecu has no way to determine that, then it will not engage.

ok, thanx gearbox, thats what i was thinking cuz when the speedo sits at zero the ecu thinks your just stopped and revving the engine, which shouldnt engage VTEC. thanx again gearbox!!! do you know any cheap place to get one? i know ebay has them for $20.

well www.hondaautomotiveparts.com is pretty good for getting oem parts. not sure if the ebay one is used or not and could cause problems later idk.
