My car on a website? Yes or No?
Looking for opinions:
Two weeks ago I bought a rear lip from an online aftermarket parts shop and picked up the item. A week later, I told him that I painted it and installed the lip and it came out really good.
Now he is asking if I can send him some pictures. At first, I thought he wanted pix of the lip installed for his website (sales) page, but later he said he wanted “all around” pictures of my car; front, sides, rear, etc...
I was considering offering to do it if he would give me some discounts on parts and would of course provide installed product pictures for him. I was mainly going to ask for a CF hood/trunk discount.
But my brother said “nah, that’s kind of sucks to ask for anything. Your car displayed on a website should be good enough”…
* I do not want to come off as a douche bag, but I do kind of want something in return. My car is pretty nice, 17’s (going 18’s in a month or so) springs, shocks, bars, braces, etc..; and all that good stuff. However, it ain’t no show car by a long shot. “Simple ‘n’ Clean” is how I would describe my Civic. That’s what many people have said about my car.
Most likely, I’ll probably just send some pictures of my car to him to use, and ask nothing in return, but wanted to hear from other people on this forum.
What do you all think I should do? What would you do in this situation?
Thanks all…

He really thinks putting your car on a website is compensation? I'd prefer not to have my car on a website, I think that's weird. I think if someone asks you to put your car on their website, you should be compensated for it. Search for a thread here where I got a custom suede interior in exchange for sending them pictures of the installed product.

Hmm... maybe he wants to rip you off. He knows where you live, and what you drive. He probably wants to see if its worth the trip to grab the loot.
