Timing Belt: OEM or Dayco?
SubscribeGreetings Civic Experts,
My '98 has 104 kmi now and needs a new timing belt. I've got a quote for a job from Midas including the water pump at $500. However, they want to use a Dayco timing belt and Airtex water pump. Anybody knows anything about the products of these companies? Should I stay with OEM? I'm thinking that I'd like the same type of belt since it lasted more thank 100 kmi.
Thanks in advance for your help!

those are standard aftermarket parts and quality is decent, but i would stick with oem belt its only $20.
$500.00 bro it sounds like your getting bent over,I would shop arounf for a better price,The timeing belt should ony be around 100-150 at the most.I am not sure of the water pump cost but it sound s like you are over paying
