What Percent Tints Should I Get?

I want to get only the back half of my Silver 2006 Honda Civic Coupe tinted, but I don't know what percentage to get. Which percent would be the best, that would match the rest of the car?

20% itd look best. but if you wanna blend it more with the paint and not have it stick out as different from the fronts, get 35%, although thats a lot of money for little tint. 30% is a good in between.

First off check what your states lowest legal limit is. Second if its like PA (25% is the lowest) then I'd say on a silver car go with 30-40 like Envy said. It will blend better.

Re: What Percent Tints Should I Get?

Well I live in New Jersey, where I can get any percent tints on the back half but no tints on any of the windows on the front half. I was thinking 20%, but I think that is going to look weird on a silver car that is not going to have the front half tinted. Does anyone have any pictures of a civic tinted only on the back half?

Plus I've driven my car across Canada as well as through every northern state and down through every state on the east coast. No problems.

Re: What Percent Tints Should I Get?

im glad i didnt go lower than 35% all around. any less is way too dark. on cloudy days, you can barely see through it.

20% its a bit darker than i liked, and i think that 20% on the backs only would look plain ugly. with sunlight, you can see through, in clouds, its black.

Re: What Percent Tints Should I Get?

Seems 35% all around is the best way to go,but I don't know if i could pass inspection with that since its illegal to get it all around in NJ.
