Help Projector Headlights!!!
Ok so I just got a pair of projectors for my car, found them at work and my boss said I could have them. I put them on two days ago and noticed that night I couldn't see nothing at all they were aimed at the ground. I adjusted them last night. Heres what I did I parked my car 25ft away from a wall. I measured from the ground to the center of my headlight and got a measurement. I then went over to the wall and measured that distance up and added 2.1in to it. I saw this method on another post. I then proceeded to adjust the cutoff line to match the line I just measured on the wall(PITA). Now tonight it was a bit foggy out but the beams were higher up but the light was all distorted and there was noticeable spots in the beam were no light was shining. I also noticed that each light looked to have three "main" beams coming out of the projector.(I drew this horrible picture to try and describe)Then there was "scattered" light all around. I have tried everything and cannot get them any better. I even got a pair of silverstar H1 bulbs it made it a bit brighter but thats about it. There is also a pic of what my lights look like. I think they are just a pair off crap ebay lights. Would I be better off just getting some TYC projectors. Thanks

Re: Help Projector Headlights!!!
you are supposed to aim them 2.1 inch LOWER than the height of the headlights. basically the projectors suck anyway and aiming them properly wont help you much. if you want a cheap solution, buy some halogen projector assembly like valeo H7 (from audi) and stuff them in your lights instead of the ones you have now. the tycs are gonna be just as bad as the ones you posted. its all aftermarket junk. or if youre gonna swap the projector, might as well get an hid one and switch over to that.
