Rep Power: 0 sound systems/speakers for civic si
I am interested in putting in after market speakers and a new head unit in my 2003 Civic Si, but am not sure what will fit and what kind of system I should look into. I would like to get some speakers that are fairly easy to install and without many modifications.
I really don't know much about this stuff, and just recently began looking into it.
Thank you!

It all depends on what you want. What do you listen to and how much do you have to spend?
Although, ANY component set you get (speakers in the front two doors with the tweeters in the pilers) you will have to modify the tweeter hole to get aftermarket ones to fit.
And then do you plan to do it yourself or pay a store to do it?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I would like to keep it under $1000, maybe even under $800. I would probably see about doing it myself, or have my boyfriend help. Do you know if there are any enclosed woofers that are made to fit, without modification, in the back of 03 si's?

you could call up crutchfield and ask about it. they are good at helping you pick stuff that will fit. or check ephatch.com
and a good place to buy cheap audio equipment is carmedia1.com
for the sub, check if JL makes a stealth box for your car.

If you want a sub then check out the slimline subs on the market- they are half the depth of traditional subs
