First point to mod out a car?

Someone the other day asked what is the point of modding out a car? Just drive it.

If you don't see the point on modding a car. Let me say this.
Point of spending money on a car is mostly because it's a form of Art. Like playing a guitar.Only car's have the touch, smell, look and feel.
Mostly driving the car. ALL car's have a different feel to them, We all can't drive Enzo's even in the winter time.
In a way though, Everyone likes car's. modding is a different story however. What if ALL of us drove P.O.S white Van's with rust down the side? It would be boring. Kinda like if we all wore plaid shirts and grey pants and banned black coats? there would be no Goth's/Emo/Prep etc.
I have seen some poeple's trash that turned into other gold treasures.

So what is everyone's first point of modding out a car?

I just like the sound system in a car. That's all. Sure I care about the looks on the outside, But nothing beat's driving around to tune's of Led zep in 5.1 surround sound.

Re: First point to mod out a car?

I do it as a hobby & to have my car the way I want it.
To each their own.
Some people see it as a waste of time & money.
Stock cars are too common & boring imo.

Re: First point to mod out a car?

my take is, i look for stuff i dont like, or would look better another way, and find a way to change it. idk, its fun too. alot of stuff isnt really that great coming out of the factory. some people like to make their car different so its not just another dirty messed up civic rolling around with fistfulls of wheelgap.

Re: First point to mod out a car?

It makes me stand out from the rest of the people on the road with a 7thgen beige sedan. That and when I got my car it was kinda lame. With the new suspension and tires its much more fun. upgraded the stereo because I like music, and the radio is always on in the car, so I figured why not. Tinted windows for privacy and so cars behind me like trucks dont blind me. headlights so i can see better...its just a game really, cause once you do something, it kinda bonds to you and you cant stop. I got into cars when I worked on my grandpas old Volga back in the motherland, its just grown on me since, and since my car hardly ever breaks, i gotta scrach the itch so I keep modding..whens something breaks, I "upgrade" lol.
